Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in America for more than 40 years. Her most well-known role is because of her portrayal as Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. Then, she appeared on Broadway for a number of productions until 1957 in which Li'l abner was famous at the National Theatre. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina that same year. Louise began her Hollywood career in 1958, as she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a dramatic film. It was an enormous hit and Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour managed to play between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character opposed her perceived image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has made a name for herself as a director of popular TV shows like Supernatural. Born in Essex, Ontario on 28th August 1965, her family relocated to Toronto around the age of three. The city was her home for the duration of her childhood in Toronto and through her teenage years. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver in Canada following her choice to play the lead.
