Coleman is from Lancashire. She was educated at Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A grades for her A Levels. Coleman was nominated twice for prizes in 2007. Coleman won two nominations in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. For the British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as the category for Best acting in a Drama. Coleman got the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will be Matt Smith's companion following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat picked her to play the role as she performed the best alongside Smith and also spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the film industry since 1987. However, she is better popular for her television projects rather as opposed to films. Out of all the roles Eva has played on TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that stand out. The role as Doctor. Maria Santos on All My Children garnered its two Daytime Emmy nominations. This allowed her to show off her musical talent. In addition to being an actor, Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneur. She has been married three times, and has a daughter who is along with her husband.
