Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. She's released over 20 albums. Her music is classified as folk-rock as well as alternative rock, but it also has elements of punk, funk, hip beat and jazz. Ani Difranco has been deemed as a feminist icon and a Grammy award winner. As one of early female musicians in the 1990s, DiFranco created her own record label. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a former student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each one another while each attending. Her father was of Italian descent and her mother came born in Montreal. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors.
